PRESIDENT-ELECT

Denis Bonnett, and his wife Gail moved to Hilton Head Island in 1997 from Mendham, N.J.  They’ve owned property here since 1986 and were frequent visitors from 1980 until their move.

A regional manager for Great West Life (employee benefits) in N.J. for 17 years, he had responsibilities for group and pension sales in NY, NJ, and PA.  Managing 3 sales offices, he also spent his last 2 years developing an HMO for the New Jersey market.

After moving here permanently, he joined the Hilton Head Choral Society, where he served as president for 3 years.  He also sings with the HHCS Chamber singers, and the Hilton Head Symphony chorus.

In 1997, Denis owned Lawn Doctor/Beaufort County with a sister company Doc’s Lawn Service.  In 2001, he decided to go back into Group Benefit Plan sales (part-time) and formed JCM Corporation, an insurance agency specializing in Group Health and Pension Plans for members of affinity groups.  

Denis joined Rotary in October of 2000.  He has served as Sergeant-at-Arms in the Rotary year 2003-2004, filled a vacant position mid-year in 2005 as Director of Club Services A, was Rotary Foundation Director in 2006–2007, and served as Club Secretary in 2007-2008. Club Secretary in 2007-2008, Vice-President in2008-2009.
