How To Become A 10 Star Rotarian
The designation of a Rotarian as a "10 Star Rotarian" Is based on the Rotarian earning a minimum of 100 points for certain services he/she has rendered their club. There are 25 "Must"points which must be earned before the 10 Star Rotarian Emblem can be awarded, regardlessof thee total number of points the Rotarian may have earned above the minimum requirement. Must points are earned under categories 11, 12 & 20. There is a possibility of 30 points total in these three categories, and 25 must be earned here as a part of the 100 total required for recognition.

The INVENTORY OF ROTARY SERVICE of the 10 Star Rotarian Plan specifies the number of points that can be awarded in each category for the various types of services ... with 10 points as the maximum in each category. Each Rotarian should review this "Inventory" carefully. and record the number of points he/she has already earned in each category. Remember those "Must" points!

Points are cumulative from month to month. but DUPLICATE POINTS cannot be awarded. Example: Category #6, a Rotarian might serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the club for more than one term. but after he/she has once earned the 10 points for having rendered that service for one term, he/she has earned the maximum number of points authorized for that service.

Points earned for service rendered by a Rotarian in one club who becomes a member of a 2nd or 3rd club are also cumulative. Example: Category #16, suppose a Rotarian sponsored two new members when he/she was in Club "A"....... he/she earned 4 points for this category. The Rotarian moves or is transferred to an area where there is not a club or membership available ... he/she is no longer a Rotarian. Later. he/she is invited into Club "B", the points previously earned are cumulative and may be credited for his/her continuation for the 10 Star Rotarian recognition.
